A native of British Columbia, Dr. Wilkie is a leading Canadian surgeon specializing in Urogynecology. His medical interests include both urogynecology and gynecology specializing in reconstructive and aesthetic vaginal surgeries.

Dr. Wilkie obtained his Medical Degree at the University of British Columbia (UBC). After medical school he interned in New Zealand and England. Dr. Wilkie returned to UBC to complete a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He continued his sub-specialty training in Urogynecology at St. George's Hospital Medical School in London, England. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Wilkie is an international speaker and educator dedicated to Urogynecology and Gynecology. He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine UBC and is Co-Director at the Bladder Care Centre, University of British Columbia.

Dr. David Wilkie was one of the first surgeons in Canada to perform the innovative, safe, trans-obturator tape incontinence sling, single incision sling and minimally invasive vaginal vault suspension. He has performed more than 3000 such procedures.

He is the past Vice President of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) and is past President of the Canadian Society for the Urogynaecologic and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (CSURPS). He continues as a member with SOGC Urogynecology subcommittee.

Vibeke studied nursing in Canada. She is a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of British Columbia and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Royal Roads University. In addition to assisting Dr. Wilkie, she is a member of the Canadian College of Health Services Executives.

Hazelle, MOA

A professional Medical Office Assistant with more than 8 years administrative experience, Hazelle is Dr. Wilkie's Patient Care Coordinator. Hazelle will greet you in a warm and friendly manner. She has a background as a pharmaceutical technician as well as experience in nursing.

As Patient Care Coordinator, she takes care of the administration relating to your referral, appointments, and surgical bookings. Hazelle understands your needs and concerns, and will make every effort to ensure your time under our care is as smooth as possible.
